Thanks to BVMUndergroundHipHop for putting this up, but their description is wrong. Solaar was signed up to Talkin Loud and one of the only 'foreign' Hip Hop artists to be signed by a UK/US label. This put him in the mainstream of English speaking audiences. He was a big success. He did indeed appear on Guru's Jazzmatazz recording, but he had a huge following well before. Taking his style to the US was to merely extend his success, like any artist would.

I like how the translation is not "word to word". The subtitles don't always say the same words as the actual lyrics, but they express the same ideas.
