I remember watching tis live...I already loved Bing, being brought up by older parents...I tought this was the coolest back then, and it tears me up every Christmas since...

oh, and then... and then... BOWIE "So, Percival let's me use the piano when blah blah blah... (i.e. WHEN HE'S CHANGING WITH HUDSON)" blah blah and then... BOWIE "In fact, I've got a 6yo son, and he really gets excited around the Christmas holiday thing." BING "Yeah, so... ah... do you go for any of the traditional things in a boy household, Christmas time?" Keeps getting better! :P

That is TOTALLY WICKEDLY AWESOME!!! Who would believe they were just "neighbors" and David EFFin' Bowie would just walk on over to sing about drummer boys with Crosby. My favorite lines... BOWIE "What happened to Hudson?" BING "I think he's changing..." BOWIE "Yeah, that happens a lot, erm."

I somehow thought this song/duet was much more recent, and perhaps one of those posthumous digital moshes (ala Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole, Martina McBride and Elvis, etc). I love that it's not, though! This is one of my fav Christmas songs ever. They sound so fantastic together. :D
