excellent vid, but a little too quite. cant hear parts of it.

exactly, I made an extremely unprofessional video, using lyrical interpretation, without seeing either of the videos. It wasn't copied, it was just a concept. And, personally, I think Ace Norton did a great job with this video, it looks stunning.

I couldn't give a damn if I am taking anything away from the video. The fact is that the idea, although well done, is by no means original. Differently done, yes, but not truly better. It is definitely more complicated in its execution, but that does not make it better- in fact the complexity of the Lyrical presentation of the film takes away from the obvious work put into the lyrics themselves.

You are overgeneralizing it and that really takes away from the effort that was clearly put into the making of this video. You'd also have to be pretty ignorant to think that IT was the first to do lyrics following the song in a video. It's done different and better in this video, period.
drevyek (June 22, 2008 at 3:54 am)
but the concept is definitely the same in both videos, making the idea copied. the subtle difference doesn't make up for the fact that the idea, and thus the style, is the exact same. Both songs use the lyrics as the video, not the artists, or some plot

You can't even begin to compare the two videos. Tell the Truth was just the lyrics animated on the computer, this was amazing camera work on real text as it followed the lyrics. This is infinitely more impressive.

Well damn, and here I was thinking I was the only one who listened to Immortal Tech AND The Mountain Goats. Nice broad musical taste my friend. |
