" A 1995 report observes, 'export-driven trade and investment policy that Washington mandates will relentlessly squeeze the domestic rice farmer' who will be forced to turn to more rational pursuit of agroexport for the benefit of U.S investors, in accordance with the principles of rational expectations theory" -Chomsky On Miseducation (pages 160-161)

Great! Unfortunally they've made it so that there's not enough in the superficial to appreciate about Haiti, and very little to the historically untrained eye to like. So it's always a pleasure to hear a foreigner that understands Haiti's struggles and stiffled potential.

Hi! No, I´m German... but I have been many times to Haiti and I love your country a lot! for the Americans, many of them seem to think that we all outside their borders are savages waiting to be "freed" to death by them just like Iraq...just two days ago I had a very "nice" discussion with some of these guys...Sometimes I´d like to say it in the words of Chavez "Vayanse al carajo, gringos de mierda..." !

I'd like to command for your work with the UN But it's obvious, despite of your professed efforts and the U.N's creed, these things have being at odds with U.N actions, even from its inception,Patrice Emmery Lumumba murdered in Congo while the U.N did nothing as one example from the past.So I am not talking about the U.N's genuine intended purpose but its actions or lack thereof.you must be a few minority in trying to get the U.N to work and your work goes unknown by what's actually implemented

I live in Switzerland, I'm from other countries, have several nationalities and origins, so yes, I'm from the rest of the world. I have been intimate with the UN and its many works for many decades. The US has corrupted the UN of late by not paying its dues and threatening and blackmailing other delegates, but the UN is much, much more than what you obviously think it is, and does much much more than what you believe it does.

You can't be serious. No, you're from Switzerland, not the rest of the world, so what I said still stands. The U.N is legit to you. informed Palestians, Haitians, Africans, South Americans know my points to be facts.

I'm a part of the rest of the world, and have had intimate knowledge of the UN and what it does. You are obviously rather oblivious of all that the UN does, as your post amply demonstrates.

Dude, anyone with even remote consciousness knows the U.N is synonimous with upholding justice only when U.S/West are have interest to gain. Why are you even challenging this fact? You can try this with brainwashed Americans, but not with the rest of the world, especially Haitians, arguably the most victimized in the western hemisphere.
GWOZ0Z0 (September 13, 2008 at 2:29 pm)
This the kind of righteous indignation we need in the face of all this injustice. Not enought people are saying, like you, "Fuck I will do something about it." They've been on our ass our whole existence.
GWOZ0Z0 (September 13, 2008 at 2:26 pm)
Great see someone so informed on the facts. It's extremely frustrating at times when trying to explain to some uninformed Americans that the majority of the world is upset at U.S policy not because they're envious or reject democracy, but ironically, precisely because the U.S government has historically and continues to be hypocrites in this respect. Are you Haitian?
