I love to watch this clip as I can see the love these animals can give if they are loved themselves. Hasn't anyone watched "Lion Man" on Sky, you lion lovers (and tigers) would be amazed! Wednesdays at 8. Or if you have freeview Sky 3 Friday at 7. Gr8. Proof that it can be done.

Elsa died in 1961 I believe she was only five years old she died from a disease caused by a tick bite. Her cubs were rescued by Joy and George Adamson I believe they were only one or two years not too sure but they were sent to a sanctuary I don't know what happen to them. but hopefully they had a good life.

Really ? Oh that's so sad. Thanks for the infornmation. BTW do you know what became of Elsa and her cubs ? Were they not followed after the reunion they had in the film (or book "Living Free") ?

George Adamson was murdered by bandits or poachers not lions.

they werent poachers and they werent attacking a tourist. they were bandits. africa is a very dangerous place with a lot of political and social unrest.

Joy Adamson was killed by a boy who she had fired. George Adamson was killed by poachers who were attacking a tourist He saved her but he was murdered

Aha so it was poachers that killed them both ? Joy I don't know but George I thought was killed by another lion. |
