The most haunting and diseased harmonica in history duels in tense space with a barbed guitar; the Cantori Moderni bears witness with an elegaic and then operatic chorus; then finally the harmonica staggers through its last corroded wheeze. Franco De Gemini was Ennio's brilliant harpist, adding ranges of texture to many great scores. Reportedly, Ennio got the proper sound and labored rhythm he wanted on "Death Rattle" by holding the neck of De Gemini and carefully squeezing it for the cues!
