First of all MUSKY DON... why dont you get rid of that crappie net and get yourself a real one.
Then, you should probably learn how to handle a fish so you dont kill any more flopping around on the bottom of your boat.
It amazes me the amount of numb-nuts out there who stumble upon big musky and actually land them, only to manhandle them, and ultimately kill them.

God that was horrible.. I'm not a muskie fanatic that thinks all muskies are going to survive being caught, but that fish was handled so poorly its not even funny.. First of all what is with the frickin' Wal-Mart net. If you're fishing muskies you owe it the fish to get a descent net. Secondly, why would you lay it on the floor of the boat next to the gas tank? Gas is the worst for the fish. I know they are overwhelming when caught, but use some common sense..

baby muskys are around 1 inch long by the way...don't know where you saw they were 5-6 inches. There's plenty of baby musky's in my lake, so I see some all the time.
