You wouldn't have films like the Fith Element without films like this and you wouldn't have Bladerunner without film noir, judge it against films of its era, its like saying the Beatles are shit but Oasis are good. Although I personally think its stands the test of time as an intelligent bit of science fiction. For the record, I also love the Fifth Element, but don't believe they are comparable.

This movie came out the same day as E.T., and E.T. overshadowed this film immensely when the 2 were at the box office, thats why not too many people know about it.

The quintessential cyberpunk movie. It can be hard to watch, because it moves agonizingly slow, but it's a great flick.

Hmm, this movie looks pretty epic. How come I've never heard of it yet watched the original From Russia With Love (a movie made in the '60s starring Sean Connery as Bond) twice when I was like 6!? I need to look this up.
