I started getting serious at 18. I played just about every day from 3-6 hours. I have holes in my theory, but that hasn't stopped me from writing music. I can't read music and will only deal with TAB if I have to. I can learn most shit by ear. I know all my modes and love Lydian most.

when did you start playing? How much did you practice? Also curious on your theory knowledge, do you read and write music or just play it? Thanks

All good. I think you gotta WANT to do that, and sometimes that means working an hour or more a day on getting it. "Shredding" is hard work, and what separates the men from the boys that the men put in the time, whilst the boys prefer trends and hangin' out and talking about music rather than playing it. |
