この「サニー」は、BOBBY HEBBが創った名曲(作詞も、BOBBY HEBB)。
※この楽曲は、 ランク・シナトラ、スティーヴィー・ワンダー、ニール・セダカ、マーヴィン・ゲイ、クラシックス・フォー、レス・マッキャン、クリス・モンテス、ザ・スパイダース、加瀬邦彦とザ・ワイルドワンズ等々 実に５００組以上のミュージシャン達によってカヴァーされている名曲。
ボビー・ヘブは、'４１年７月２６日に米国のテネシー州ナッシュヴィルの音楽一家(両親と兄)で誕生。
ボビー・ヘブが３歳のときに、初めてボードヴィルのステージでデビュー。
このステージ上でデビューを促してのは、ハル・ヘブン(６歳上の兄)でした。
その後、親子４人はステージで活躍します。そして、ハル・ヘブンは、MARIGOLDS(ソウル・グループ)に参加し親子の活動に終止符が。
ボビー・ヘブも、１２歳でナッシュビルのカントリー＆ウェスタンのステージで歌い始め注目を浴び、チェット・アトキンス(ギタリスト)の指導の下ギターを修得。
１６歳で、シカゴに進出し、やがてニューヨークに！
ボビー・ヘブが２５歳のとき、大好きな兄のハル・ヘブンが強盗に襲われ射殺されという悲しい事件が起こりました。
「サニー」は、大好きな兄を失った哀しみの渦中にボビー・ヘブが創り上げました。
