Mother Nature just seems to come alive in this piece. Grieg no doubt was a nature lover. Splendid!

Good to know someone remembered this film! I remembered it vividly. This was shown with waterfalls, lakes, mountains, meadows and rivers with deer galloping to the old man character before he died. The film was about same period as 'Omega Man' also starred Charleton Heston.

I came back to this music after watching Fitna, the movie about Islam's Horror by Geert Wilder. He uses The Death of Ase from Peer Gynt in the movie. It's amazing how the music goes from the utter bliss of Morning into the utter Despair of Death of Aae.

Griegs beautiful awakening to a fresh new day(morning)!.........dawn has broken, the leafs rustle, flower buds open, butterflies flit into the air, birds sing and stretch there wings and fly majestically over the oceans of our coast lines valleys!......... a wonderful piece of melodic calm and subtle music of the highest order!
