What counts as the first music video ever made is highly subjective and open to debate, but this clip is GREAT, and shows how genius the Residents were. We BADLY need another band like them again, but probably won't see it for another 100+ years or so (when another few generations forget who they were.) Long live the Residents, whoever you are.

This video by The Residents is avante-guarde, innovative and posh, yet looks like an outdated Nazi propaganda film that was made for myopic, psuedo-art poseur gimps who really don't have any friends. With all the newspapper flying around it is a miracle that they didn't burn the set down. "Casablanca" and "wipe out" at the end? Go 'Venture'... Fuck U2B....

The legendary Residents were masters behind the lens. Someone wants said, "A demon is haunting the movie world and it is the Residents". Their experimental film is simultaneous funny and sad. They produced a work of volcanic profundity and sometimes timid pretentiousness, with sly comedy and ripe ironic wisdom. Suckers...
