The U.S.A was neutral until the unprovoked attack on pearl harbor in 1941 by imperial japan. That brought us into the war, and we then demolished japan single handily with the use of the atomic bomb. WW2 lasted from 1939-1945, we were there for 4 of the 6 years after japan forced us into it.

Let's not start an argument...but I think the Russian and British contributions to the war rival Americas quite well. And when you look at how much smaller Britain is than america and how many we lost...terrible years for all involved, the americans had less years though xD. All fallen soldiers on BOTH sides...respect.
