Such a beautiful and powerful vision! My son was in utero when I took a drumming class, so he began hearing and feeling rhythm from the very beginning. Since about five months of age, he "dances" whenever he hears music of any type, but he seems to especially like West African music. Thanks for posting this inspiring video!

Wonderful to see young women playing djembe, very talented, and about time the world sees that women can play as well as men, and the old tradition of preventing African women from playing drums is the old world. No one should be restricted from playing music or having equal rights, wherever they are!

These women are powerful and talented. the first organ to develop in the fetus is the ear at that point the unborn child can hear its MOTHERS heart beat. Thus the beginnig of life is rhythm. We are rhythm. The beat of the heart, the sway of the hips, the waves of the sea, the whistle of the wind, the breath of life the kiss on the cheek,the caress of a lover, and I leave the rest to your imagination.I am a Female drummer and proud of it! So for the person with the rude profanity.......

it's the first time i see african women playing djembe.. and hearing this absolutely great performance it was about time i did. thanks to who ever broadcasted this video, totally fabulous!!!!

Female drummers are SO sexy.. and this is a whole room full! I'm sure women find ensembles of male drummers sexy too, I'm just the other part of the equation. So talented a group!
