Indeed, and don't forget the monopolization. To people in general I would say look up "no-patents-on-seeds" We simply can't let big Corps dictate what we should grow and eat. Inform yourself then inform others.

Bio-technology is cut-out to fit industrial capitalism! It also helps industry patent, own and commoditize nature. Industrial capitalism is solely based on mono-culture. While organic farming is based on another system, a system respect nature and promote diversity. Now industries are getting smart, they turn organic farming into a business, an industry which is against everything organic really means!
