I Used To Watch Mary Poppins ON Video when I Was 5 Years Old, I Watched It At The End Of September 1997 or Early October 1997 I Think? But We Like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Jeramy and Jaminana they are good children that the car could fly.

I noticed more stuff. Listen to the accompaniment. When we first see the street scene, we hear accordeon music, typical street instrument. When we come back to the bedroom, typical nursery music-box music. In between, big symphony and chorus: that's the saints and apostles, and angels. The pigeons are like angels.

This performance (of this song) is brilliant. She's not melodramatic, it's very calm, she is merely informing the children of a few facts. It's the moment in the movie where she (MP) is in closest contact with God (or whatever), that's why she is looking up, at 3:10-3:14, which is the climax of the movie, the turning point.

AAAAH! I just got it! I thought it was about charity. Feed the birds means LOVE YOUR CHILDREN while it's still time! Tuppence a bag... Love doesn't cost anything. While overhead HER birds fill the skies... All her loved ones have passed on, they are now angels. (RIP Jane Darwell) Listen, Listen, she's calling to YOU... That's the message to all the parents in the audience. Are you listening? (Mary Poppins looks like an illuminated saint when they fade back to the bedroom.)
