i,m planning to move to fairbanks by next year i want to drive i live in tx but i don,t know if that could be possible from hehe is a long way it would be the crazys trip i have ever made

yeah but Fairbanks you can drive to from Seattle without a boat or plane ... I'm thinking about taking a vacation up there and possibly moving to Fairbanks because man I LOVE Alaska and I LOVE cold weather ...

I live in LA now and my favorite part of flying into Fairbanks would be the lights you see at night. In the winter it gets dark pretty fast

I was there in June July of 07. Flew in to Fairbanks then worked on a SCA crew (Student conservation Association) building trail in the white mountians for a month. Beautiful place cant wait to go back.

ya thats it that ant to far but if you wud of cept goin i think you be in fairbanks in like 2 hrs. haha ya we have high ways were a city like eney other city you see down the lower 48. but smaller and colder

The current Alaskan population is around 670,000. Fairbanks is about 40,000. As to your question about freeways in Alaska, we dont really have freeways. we have many roads, but there are many remote villages that are only accessable by boat or bush plane.

lol i know. but i saw like 4 freeway's. i just didn't knew they had that many poupulation that they would have more then 1 freeway. aren't alaskians only arround 500.000 ?
