whoaa people he isn't hitting with the elbow. he's hitting hit the upper arm and shoulder, typically catching guys in the jaw. his elbow comes out but thats not what he's hitting with for the most part. looking at these hits it's the fact that he leaes his feet that i see as a charging penalty, not an elbowing penalty

what a pimp

he was a great hitter no doubt, but if you watch those checks closely, alot of them had his elbow up. Especially #1, that was almost a cheapshot.

great hits but # 1 was definately elbow all the way its away from his body and everything. still, youve gotta love scott stevens if you love old time hockey.

Watch so many of these. Scott's D- Partner just plays the role of the sheep dog. Steps outside and gives the man more room to make him cut inside and Scott knows exactly what to do when this happens. He reads these plays and knows whats gonna happen 10 steps before.

scott stevens is my favourite defence but i think the 1 hit was an elbow.

you see the elbow come up in every hit.

Scott was a throw back to the old days of hockey. Always was a clean hitter no elbows or high sticks. If the opponenets head was down look out there was Scotty. Glad he is in the H.O.F.
