If the camera can't pick up the shade of green, that area is MISSING FROM THE SHOT. It doesn't freakishly remove the board from your video footage and replace it with a flush edit of what the landscape would look like in each of those shots if a board wasn't there. How the hell would that sort of editing magician itself into a shot? It doesn't. If I took footage of a blank, green screen for an hour and thirty minutes, when I uploaded it, it would be a feature length film according to your logic.
